Hi, I’m April Grace, an author, BookTuber, and freelance editor. I also dabble a fair bit in Tiktok, and my username is @aprilgraceauthor there. I post frequently, if you’re interested in finding out more about my books. I’m passionate about reading and writing, and love spending time with friends, family, my partner and his two sons, and walking my Jack Russell Terrier, Dusty.

The world-building in this book is impressive, and there were so many unexpected (REALLY UNEXPECTED) twists and turns. Amazing book that kept me on my toes. Highly recommended. - (Steel Princess.) - Roxy Eloise, author of The Guidal series.
This a Snow White retelling with a twist. Yes, there is an evil step mum that is a witch, and she is the super baddie. And, the princess does escape to the woods but…
This story is about two - no three - main characters. Each of them have their own sass and strength. The world building is great, from the witch run mirror city, to the Icefall palace, and the spiritual Roth witch plane. The locations were vivid and the characters’ voices unique.
Their stories intwine and a magical adventure with many surprises along the way awaits. There is death. There is betrayal. There is the uncovering of secrets. Best of all there is plenty of magic. This beefy book packs a lot in. I loved it. And, I’m sure you will too! (The Girl Behind The Glass) - by Ally Alridge, author of Ocean Heart and Sky Heart.

While I’m an author myself, I also have four years of experience as a freelance editor, working directly with authors and a couple of small publishers to help them produce great stories. I’m more of a fiction girl, and I specialise in fantasy since this is what I love to read and write, however I have worked with a variety of different genres, too, including contemporary romance, historical fiction, self-help books, Christian testimonials, and even a light horror comedy series. I have worked as the Head of Literature for a charity that aims to bring creative opportunities to young people, for a well known bookshop called The Works, and in a temporary role for a book distributor, a UK based Ingram Sparks company. So I have worked with books in all different forms! It’s pretty cool.
I also have a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Bedfordshire.
When I’m not spending time with my lovely family, friends and boyfriend, or working on freelance editing with both new and previous clients, I love writing my young adult fantasy novels.
